Rodman Ensminger, age 79, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Kobacker House surrounded by family and loved ones. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jayne; son, Brian (Peggy Ann); stepdaughter, Kim (Jeremy) Windle; stepson, Louis Kontos; beloved dog, Lucy; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. Rod was born in Bellevue, Ohio and graduated from Norwalk High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Rod was a Magistrate in the Franklin County Common Pleas Court for 26 years until he retired in 2000. He was a member of the American Bar Association and the Ohio Bar Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Gordon and Maude Ensminger; sisters Patricia Dakin and Betty Hardy; brothers, Gordon Henry and William Ensminger. Burial will take place immediately following the Memorial Service at Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
