On Thursday, May 18th, Rod passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was 84. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Rod was a graduate of USC and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a fireman. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to California as a child. His career took him to many cities throughout the U.S. Rod was a partner in FPL Financial Strategies. He retired in August, 2022.
Rod had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh. He loved reading, tequila and a great cigar. On weekends, you could find him at Heritage Golf Club golfing with "his guys." His favorite destination spot was Cabo San Lucas where he loved to golf and do nothing. On weekends, you could find him at a car show with his 1966 Plymouth Belvedere, where he won numerous trophies and medals.
Rod requested no calling hours. Near and dear to his heart was the Wounded Warrior Project. The family suggests, if you wish, to make a donation to the project in Rod's name. Donate online at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or call 855-448-3997.
He loved each and every one of you and lived his life to the fullest. Celebrate the good times you had with him.
