Roger A. Coy

Roger A. Coy, age 69, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1947 in Fayette County, OH. He retired from The Ohio State University after 31 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Bessie (Pettit) Coy; former wife, Roxann Coy; siblings, Gene, Jerry, Herb, Delores Coy, and Mary (Wayne) Wilson. Survived by children, Amy (Marc) Gothard and Johnny Coy; grandchildren, Preston, Davis, and Sophia Gothard; siblings, Jim (Karen) Coy, Ralph Coy and Joann Carr; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call Monday, June 6, 2016 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 noon at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St. in Mt. Sterling, OH. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
