Roger Lawrence Pfister, age 66, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born October 30, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan he was the son of Frederick and Mary Pister. He graduated from Bellbrook High School in 1962. He went on to serve as a Captain for the United States Army and also attended Indiana University. He was honorably discharged from the military and graduated from college in May of 1966. He led an entrepreneurial career that took him all over the world which he thoroughly enjoyed. He completed his MBA with Franklin University in April of 1997 and became known as “Professor Pfister”. He married Elizabeth Pister on April 24, 1971 and spent 39 wonderful years with her. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, his son, Jeffrey Pister, his daughter, Jennifer Falcon, son-in-law, Matt Falcon, his brother,
Bruce Pister, and cousins Rick and Helen Weis. He is preceded in death by his father, Frederick Pister and mother, Mary Pister. He also loved more than anything spending time with his grandchildren, Britany Pister, Gwyn Pister, and Logan Roston. He loved boating, his old 1951 Ford Truck, telling stories, playing cards, traveling, working outside, Graeter’s Ice Cream, and spending time with friends and family. He had an amazing spirit, a grand smile, a warm handshake, and had a true love of life. He will be deeply missed and he is truly loved. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, Ohio 43026; where funeral service will be held Monday at 10:30am with interment at Dublin Cemetery.
