Roger Rose, age 83 of Huber Heights, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born April 18, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio.
A 1944 graduate of Jackson Rural High School, served in the US Army, a Mason of 48 yrs, member of Beaver Valley Lodge.
Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Betty, son Roger Timothy, brother Deward and mother Carrie.
Survivors include his grandson Roger Harvey (Diane) Rose of Huber Heights and his sister Joy Meyers of Darbydale; great nephew, Jeff Carter.
A visitation will be held Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME AT 331 West Main St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio 43143. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. a Masonic service will give honor to the Mason and family. On Monday, December 14, 2009 a graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Concord Cemetery in Grove City.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest a memorial contribution may be given to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton,Ohio 45420.
