Ronald “Poppy” Chandler, age 86, of Marysville, formerly of Hilliard, Ohio, passed in the hands of his friend Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Ronald was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Marysville, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his family, but most of all he enjoyed going to his grandkids sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy; parents, William and Geraldine Chandler; brother Don (Barb) Chandler; brother-in-law, Jim Williams; and grandson Lee Chandler.
Ronald is survived by his son, Ron W. Chandler; daughters, Barbie (Ron) Corbitt, and Teri (Doug) Bushong; brother, Richard (Peg) Chandler; grandchildren, Janel (Brooke) Chandler, Nathaniel Chandler, Samantha, Ethan (Sara) Fitzsimmons, Carson Corbitt, Sydnie and Kenzie Bushong; great-granddaughters, Josslyn, and Blake; special lady friend Jean Bush; brother-in-law, Joe (April) Willliams; sisters-in-law, Linda Williams, and Barbara Murray; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2, 2023, from 5-8 PM, at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, PLAIN CITY/DUBLIN CHAPEL, 9720 State Route 161, Plain City, Ohio, 43064. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, 660 Ackerman Road, 6th Floor, Columbus, Ohio, 43218.
