Ronald Mark Schwerin, age 72, of Hilliard, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 unexpectedly at his residence. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Frances Schwerin and father-in-law Jack Headlee. Graduated from Hilliard High School class of 1965, graduate from Capital University in 1969 with his Bachelor’s degree and received his Master’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1975. Ron was a math teacher from 1969-1999 at Blendon Middle School and Westerville North High School. He taught and tutored at Columbus State Community College 2001-present, and was a math textbook editor for McGraw-Hill Education. Attended Ascension Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio and Resurrection Lutheran Church in Hilliard, Ohio. Member of Columbus Maennerchor since 1998; where he loved singing with the choir. Ron loved to read German books, fishing trips with friends, spending time with his family and grandchildren, the Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes, traveling to Germany and Siesta Key, FL, and playing Candy Crush. Survived by loving wife Dianna (Headlee) Schwerin of 51 years, daughters and sons-in-law Stacey (Steven) Zawisza and Julie (Matthew) Gorden, grandchildren Hannah and Sarah Zawisza and arriving in January baby June Gorden, brothers and sisters-in-law Richard and Wendy Schwerin, William and Kris Schwerin, mother-in-law LaVonne Headlee, sisters-in-laws and husbands Arlene and Rick Tidd, Sheila and Dave Mitchell, nieces Deborah (Tom) Hoople, Becky Schwerin and Shelly (Steve) Baird, nephews William (Cheryl) Schwerin, Richard (Julie) Schwerin, Mark (Wendi) Mitchell, Chris (Tiffany) Mitchell and Josh (Kara) Tidd and a host of friends.  Family will receive friends Thursday 4-8pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3500 Main St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Central Ohio Chapter, 2225 City Gate Dr., Suite E, Columbus, OH 43219.
