Rosetta “Rose” P. Berry-Drown, 53, of Hilliard, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the OSU Ross Heart Hospital after a long, courageous battle with the debilitating effects of diabetes, followed by end-stage renal failure. Rose was born September 10, 1954 in Barnesville, Ohio, raised in Powhattan Point, Ohio by loving parents, Ralph (deceased in 2000) and Ethel Ramser. She graduated from River High School of Hannibal, Ohio in 1972. She subsequently received an Executive Secretarial Associate’s Degree at Columbus Business University. Among places of employment, she had worked at the Ohio Dept. of Education, Ohio Dept. of Health and retired in 2000 from Ohio Civil Service Employees Association (OCSEA) in 2000, due to illness. Over many years, she cheerfully volunteered substantially to help charitable causes. She had been a member of St. John United Church of Christ when living in Powhattan Point and attended St. Brendan Catholic Church in Hilliard. Rose is survived by her husband, David Drown, her mother, Ethel Ramser of Powhattan Point, sisters;Elizabeth Stouffer of Powhattan, Justine Ramser of Columbus, Glenna Texler of Dublin, nieces, nephews, and three wonderful cats, Velcro, Mighty, and Buddy. A public visitation will be held from 9-10 am Monday, February 4, 2008 at The Tidd Funeral Home 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard. Following visitation there will be an 11am mass of Christian burial at St. Brendan Catholic Church 4475 Dublin Rd. Hilliard with Father Rodric DiPietro officiating.
