Rose Hoyt

Rose Marie Hoyt, age 79, of Dublin, passed away October 15, 2024. She retired from the Wendy’s Company. Rose was an avid reader, ruthless scrabble player and finisher of puzzles. She had many arts and crafts hobbies. She loved having meals with friends and family, seeing musicals and traveling. With such a full life, she only watched the last two minutes of any sports broadcast since “you know what already happened and all the exciting parts were at the end.” She was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed, but we take comfort that she is reunited with the love of her life and husband of 53 years, Steve. Preceded in death by mother Anna (Ann) Modzelewski (Grzejka), father John Chester Modzelewski, husband Stephen Hoyt, brothers Edward Modzelewski and Chester Modzelewski (fraternal twin). Survived by sons Kyle (Catherine Maske) Hoyt and Sean (Naomi) Hoyt, sisters Dorothy Babulak and Christine Gronostaj, grandchildren Jackson Hoyt, Lucas Hoyt, Parker Hoyt and Robin Hoyt, sister-in-law Patricia Modzelewski, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 2pm-3pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice Fund (through the Mount Carmel Foundation).
