Russell Thomas Powell Jr., age 59, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016. Member of Life Community Church. Graduate of Mitchell High School, Class of 1974, Colorado Springs, CO. Currently employed with Gordon Flesch Co. with 27 years of service. Russell was passionately devoted to God and his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, photographer, skilled carpenter and member of the NRA. Survived by loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Janet; son, Ryan (Julie) Powell; daughter, Jennifer (John Flanders) Powell; granddaughter, Bailee; parents, Russell Sr., Rose Powell and Sue Hendrickson; mother-in-law, Betty King; siblings, Ken (Robin) Powell, Mike (Lisa) Powell, Lynnette (Olive) Orlando, David (Kathy) Henson, Jim (Lisa) Powell, Tim (Jennie) Powell; many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Friends may call Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Northwest Church of the Nazarene, 5707 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43235, where funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Private interment at Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, IN.
