Russell L. Ridenour, of Mt. Sterling died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Born in London, Ohio on February 24, 1945 he was the son of Betty and Cecil Ridenour.
Russ loved to be outside and worked on the family dairy farm for many years and retired from Showa Aluminum in 2008.
Russ is survived by his son, Aaron (Robin) of Williamsport, Ohio; daughter Alicia (Ron) Roark of South Charleston, Ohio; sister, Anna Marie Henry of St. Petersburg, Florida; brother, Paul (Mary) Ridenour of Galloway, Ohio; and brother, Ben (Lucy) Ridenour of Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Grandchildren, Austin, Danielle, Nathan, Mitchell, Steve, Derek, and Sonya; great grandchild, Landyn; many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Betty and Cecil Ridenour and daughter April Dunbar.
Family invites friends to call at the funeral home from 5 – 8 pm Thursday, July 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 29, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling with Rev. Gordon Ell officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Friends and family will be gathering at the Sedalia Church of Christ in Christian Union fellowship building after the service.
