Ruth Ann Stafford

Ruth Ann Stafford, 80, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at The Grand Nursing Home in Dublin, OH. She was born in Columbus, OH, on January 22, 1945.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Stafford (Bill), longtime partner Jim Vallea, her parents CW and Sadie Fletcher, and 8 of her 11 siblings: brothers Homer, Paul, David, Noah, John and Bill; sisters Priscilla and Opal.

She is survived by her only son, Michael, and her beloved grandson, Hunter, brothers Joe and Ray, sister Pauline and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann graduated from Columbus North High School and later attended Bliss College. After a successful career in real estate, she was employed by Hilliard City Schools for 32 years. During her time with the school district, she held various positions, including supporting students with disabilities, working as a bus aide, and serving as a library assistant.

Ruth Ann will be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter, which always brightened the room. Her spunky personality and zest for life were loved by all who knew her and will never be forgotten.

Ruth Ann had a special place in her heart for her fellow Moose members. She thoroughly enjoyed her role as a Moose officer and could often be found working the door and gate at events, always greeting everyone with a warm smile and a friendly welcome.

Family will receive friends from 11am-12pm Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026 with graveside service to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. A luncheon celebration of life will be held at The Hilliard Moose Lodge 5370 Grace St. Hilliard OH. 43026 following the graveside service.
