Ruth Marshall

Ruth Marshall, age 92, of Hilliard, passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2012. She grew up on a farm in northern WI where she raised her siblings after her mother’s passing. She is a WWII Army veteran where she served as a nurse. Member of Northwest United Methodist Church where she lovingly spent many years in the nursery. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and sewing. She was also known for her legendary baking, especially her homemade bread and rolls.
She is now joining her loving husband of 54 years who preceded her in death Donald G. Marshall. She is also preceded by sister, Myrtle Bastian and brother Vance Bastian. Survived by children Donald (Linda) Marshall, David (Heather) Marshall and Jean (Fred) VanPelt; grandchildren, Jenny VanPelt (James Frail), Michael (Danitsa) VanPelt, Katie (Will) Miller, Lindsey (Jason) Durham, Ben Marshall, Carrie Marshall-Lorson (Mark), Lisa Marshall, Brian (Josie) Beckstrom, and Aaron (Jen) Beckstrom; great grandchildren Soren and Linnea Beckstrom, and Olivia and Jonathon Beckstrom; siblings, Donnie Bastian, Ken (Virgie) Bastian, Alice (Harvey) Emmer, and Germaine Olp; devoted friend, Gloria Mueller; along with nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 7 PM.
