Ruth L. McGinnis

Ruth L. McGinnis, age 93, of Hilliard, passed away July 1, 2016. Survived by loving husband of 70 years, Donald; daughters, Rebecca, of CA and Martha (David) Gamble of Grove City; granddaughter, Erika Gamble; sister, Marjory Martin of Marion, IA; brother, James (Marilyn) Stanaway of Boonville, MO; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Iowa and Missouri. Ruth attended the University of Iowa as a music major and was secretary in the School of Music. She also retired from Calhoon Co. where she worked as a real estate agent for 23 years. Ruth and Donald were married November 28, 1946 and have always lived in the Columbus area. Family will receive friends Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH. Father Michael Cochran officiating. Private inurnment will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Ruth requested that instead of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
