Ruth Woodruff

Ruth M. Woodruff, age 95, born in Sandusky, OH, a longtime resident of Hilliard, died Sunday, July 10, 2016. Graduated from Oberlin School of Commerce 1940. A former employee of the Hilliard Schools and The Ohio State University College of Agriculture; where she retired from in 1981. She is a life member of the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society, member of American Legion Auxiliary, Memorial 614, the Hilliard United Methodist Church and the Senior Center Happiness Club. Survived by her three sons Dennis (Cindy) of Sanford, NC, Timothy (Penny) of Hilliard, and Jerry (Susan) of Galloway, daughter, Suzanne (Steve) Barger of Cincinnati, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Ned, her parents Harry and Edna Bruckner of Sandusky, brothers Dr. Harold Bruckner and Dr. Ed Bruckner, sister Katherine Kelly and grandson Andrew Woodruff. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Wednesday July 13th at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday July 14th at the Hilliard United Methodist Church, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 with Pastor Karen Muntzing officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Hilliard United Methodist Church or the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society, 5274 Norwich St, Hilliard, OH 43026.
