Sandy (Dylewski) Barrett, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:50 a.m. from complications of autoimmune liver disease. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by so many of her family and friends. Sandy was generous with her time and talents and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a delicious meal. She was a wonderful teacher who always treated others with kindness and love. She graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 1966 and Kent State University in 1970. Sandy taught First Grade, Special Education and Reading Intervention in Kenton, Ohio for over 30 years and also served as an aide at St. Andrew and St. Brendan schools in Columbus, Ohio. She was married to her husband Bill for fifty beautiful years and their love for each other was evident to everyone who knew them. Her family was one of her most important treasures and she is survived by her husband Bill of Hilliard, children Kristin (Nick) Casper of Hilliard, Brian (Ronit) Barrett of Chicago, daughter-in-law Lori Barrett of Pensacola, Florida, her six wonderful grandchildren: Alex, Kaitlyn and Mackenzie Casper and Ben, Zack and Max Barrett, brother Tony (Laura) Dylewski of Wintersville, Ohio, sisters-in-law Kay Lynn Dylewski and Joanne Orsini, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her son Michael, her brother James Dylewski, her parents Frank and Sophie (Kasko) Dylewski and her in-laws Bill and Mary Frances (Murphy) Barrett. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., SATURDAY, MARCH 6, 2021 at ST. BRENDAN THE NAVIGATOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH 43026 with Father Bob Penhallurick, Celebrant. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH.
