Seymour Lee Stires, 72 of Mt. Sterling died August 22, 2011 in Country Glenn Care Center, Washington Court House. He was born November 9, 1938 in Era (Pickaway County), Ohio.
The son of the late Thomas and Mabel (Riley) Stires.
Seymour attended Derby School; Era Holiness Chapel.
Preceded in death by wife, Romah ( Ruth); brothers Robert and Ronald Stires; sister, Mary Lou Ladley.
He is survived by brothers Donald, Lloyd, Eldon, and Frederick Stires; step-son Frederick Jay & wife Rosalee King of Bainbridge, Ohio; grandson, Freddie King; special friends James Donohoe of London and Betty Timmons of Mt. Sterling.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public visitation as cremation was requested. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date in Pleasant Cemetery. The family is being served by the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Mt. Sterling.
