Sharon L. Elliott, age 64 of Mt. Sterling, died unexpectedly in Fayette County Memorial Hospital (ER) on July 11, 2011. She was born May 17, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. The daughter of Ray and Helen (McGhee) Hix.
Sharon was a member of Buckeye Christian Church in Grove City; 18 years of Child Care at the First United Methodist Church Day Care in Mt. Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jimmy Lee Elliott (March 24, 2008).
Survived by step-son, Brian Elliott of Columbus; step-granddaughters, Whitney & Ashley; brothers Bill (Janet) Hix of Columbus, Craig (Alice) Hix of Mt. Sterling; nieces & nephews, Dawn, Amy, Rebecca, Molly, Hannah, Brian, Nathan, and Simon; sisters-in-law, Judy (Frank) Brown of Mt. Sterling, Nancy Jean (Marvin) Frederick of Washington C.H.
A Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Stan Kirtlan officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 – 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorial contributions may be given to First United Methodist Church Day Care 110 S. London Street, Mt. Sterling, OH. 43143
