Sharon Hemmeler

Sharon Hemmeler, age 58, of Columbus, passed away Monday March 31, 2008 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She retired from the Hilliard City School District after 30 years of service. She was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, class of 1967, attended Miami University, OH. Preceded in death by father Richard Aue ,mother Gladys Aue Conner, step-father, Carl Conner, mother and father-in-law, Doris and Carl Hemmeler. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Carl, children; Amy (Tom) Morris of Hilliard, Philip (Jen) Hemmeler of Chicago, and Megan Hemmeler of Hilliard, grandchildren; Kayla, Luke, and Logan, brothers; Donald Aue of CA and John (Mary Ann) Aue of Cleveland, sisters-in-law; Barbara Aue of CA, Cheryl (Brian) Breece of Sunbury, and Linda (Wes) Shinn of Hilliard, brother-in-law, Curt (Tracey) Hemmeler of Hilliard, special friends; Carla Smith and Jo Hensley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She also leaves behind two devoted, loving pets, Mocha and Killian. A special thank you to The James staff at Stoneridge. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard where a funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the cure through the funeral home. Donations can be payable to “The Breast Cancer 3 Day” and funds will support the efforts of Sharon’s family to walk in the event this year.
