Shaun Asa Lewis, born January 5th, 1988, age 34, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away October 19, 2022. He graduated from Hilliard Davidson High School in 2006 and during those years he was awarded a Proclamation from the Mayor of Hilliard for his community service with the Hilliard Parks and Recreation.
Shaun Lewis is survived by his daughters: Avalynn Lewis, Jolena Shill, Sister: Shannon and her husband Dusty Brewer, Parents: Jacqueline (Erwin) Lewis, and Stan Lewis, Grandmothers: Hazel Erwin and Gladys Lewis. Shaun was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ernest Erwin and Ben Lewis.
Shaun had a soothing and gentle spirit. Very loving, giving and humble. He was a pure soul with no malice in his heart. He was honest, soft-spoken, kind and gentle. Anyone who met him or came to cherish him as a friend, always said he had a good and serving heart. He always had a smile and a big hug for everyone he met.
He loved animals of every kind, in particular rescue animals. At one time he working at the Humane Society. He also became quite the chef when working in culinary environments he learned unique ways of creating and serving different foods and loved to try new rerecipes cooking for his family.
Shaun loved working with his hands and being outdoors. The combination led him to a passion of developing landscaping. He found that he loved to create a vision in his mind, create it on paper, then make it happen in the land. He created beautiful outdoor landscapes that resulted into a masterpiece of art. He was an artist in his own right on paper as well, and had a gift in sketching.
At a young age and thru life he became quite the daredevil. And reveled in stirring up mischief to make people laugh. One of his favorite quotes he went by was, “BY THE TICKET, TAKE THE RIDE”. And that he did in so many ways. The quote was from one of his favorite authors, Hunter S. Thompson whose books he liked to read.
His greatest accomplishment tho in life in his mind, was his daughter, Avalynn and her half sister, Jolena. His heart and soul was completely devoted to his daughters and he cherised spending time with his kids and family. He loved to dote on his grandmother’s every wish. And adored his mom and sister.
He will always be remembered for his unassuming manner and tender smile. Shaun was a man who sought to fulfill God’s purpose for his life; but more than that, he always offered his huge heart to all of those who were broken-hearted or troubled in spirit.
