Shirley Ann Meyers

Shirley Ann (Oder) Meyers died Friday December 22, 2023. Born May 24, 1935 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Almeda (Wonnacott) Oder. It’s not widely known that Shirley was a high school cheerleader for the Columbian Tornadoes in Tiffin. Supporting and encouraging others was a cornerstone of her life. Foremost among the beneficiaries are her children and their spouses who will dearly miss her attentive interest in the daily minutia of their lives. The larger circle of beneficiaries includes the community of Hilliard for whom she worked to produce The Northwest News for over twenty years; the Hilliard City Schools Music Boosters for whom she held various leadership roles, ran the Friday night football concession stand, coordinated the annual pig roast, and produced the Hilliard community phone book. Most dear to her heart was supporting and encouraging her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she was blessed to enjoy for
nearly forty years. A member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church. Shirley is survived by her son, Mark (Mike Lee); daughters, Helen (Dan) Hoffman, Rachel (Tom) Myers; grandchildren, Phillip (Marie), Nathan (Emily), Rebecca (Jacob Sanders) Hoffman, Annie, Laney, and Henry Myers; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Wyatt, and Jonas Hoffman. Preceded in death by husband Ed Meyers. Memorial donations can be made to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026.
