Shirley Strahler

Shirley A. Strahler, 76, of Hilliard, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011. She was a graduate of West High School, a volunteer at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and an avid cook and baker. Preceded in death by her son, James Bradley; sisters, JoAnn Peitsmeyer, Virginia Huff, Bonnie Griffin, Betty Finnerty, and Geraldine Burns; brothers, Walter “Blackie” and Jack Burns; and her beloved in-laws, Gladys and James Strahler. Survived by loving husband of 56 years, George William; daughters, Cynthia Sue (Jon) Gibson and Helen Christine (Frank) Barnett; grandchildren, Lindsey Jay Barnett, Frank H. Barnett, Justin Lee Barnett, James Bradley Strahler Jr., Skyler William Strahler and their mother Tami Jones Strahler, Erica Christine Gibson, and Jon Christopher Gibson Jr.; brothers, Jim (Janet) Burns and Dale (Marie) Burns; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan (Sarah) Strahler and David (Barbara) Strahler; special niece and nephew, Penny Peitsmeyer and Rob Raynes; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-2 PM at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME 5265 Norwich St. Hilliard, OH 43026 where a Memorial Service will follow at 2 PM.
