Silas Carey

Silas Edward Carey “Si”,“Ed ”, age 71, of Columbus, passed away August 30, 2011. Si was a 1956 HIlliards High School and retired from Firestone as a mechanic. Preceded in death by father Frank E. Carey, mother Gaynelle F. Carey, step-mother, Louise E. Carey and other loving relatives. Survived by loving wife of 32 years, Cheryl, children Frank (Sonya) Carey, Bently Scott (Darcy) Carey, Patricia Gould, and Troy Nemes, sister Marlene (Jack) Chenoweth, brothers David (Judy) Younkin and Tom (Diane) Carey, grandchildren Danielle, Courtney, Christopher, Victoria, Elizabeth and Michelle, step-grandchildren Alyssa, Nick and Casey; and many many special friends. Ed had in the past enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and thoroughly playing cards. Family will receive friends Friday to share a celebration of his life from 4-8 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, Hilliard, OH.
