Steven R. Holbrook

Steven R. Holbrook, age 73, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2023, at home, surrounded by family.  Steve retired from Whole Food Market.  He was an avid fan of the Buckeyes, Blue Jackets, and the Cleveland Browns.  Steve played in several bands in his younger years including Pistol Pete, Boot Legg, and Dark Star.  He wrote and played his own songs and continued playing music at home for his own enjoyment well into his later years.  His son inherited his musical talent.  Steve’s cooking skills were amazing, and his wife often said that’s why she married him.  LOL. 

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Wilma Holbrook, sister Amy Holbrook, his parents-in-law, Paul & Janet Kerscher and Joan & Lige Evans, as well as his sister-in-law Lisa Kase.

Steve is survived by his wife Laura, his son Jacob, sister Nancy Holbrook and brother Patrick (Diana) Holbrook.  His brothers-in-law Michael (Kimberly) Kerscher, David (Jane) Kerscher, and David Kase, step brothers-in-law Lige, James and Stanley Evans, Bernard Hickman and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  

The family will receive friends for Steve at the Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.  A visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 PM.
