Steven Wood

Steven Harding Wood, age 68, of Cape Coral, Florida formally of Columbus, passed away Tuesday August 29, 2023, from cancer. He was a Worthington High School graduate class of 1973, Graduated from Franklin University with a bachelor’s in business. His career included service at Borden, Eagle Family Foods and he retired from Abbott in 2019. Preceded in death by parents John and Joan Wood and wife Joyce S. Wood. Survived by loving and devoted wife Marie Friedman, her sons Max (fiancé Marykate) Alex (fiancé Sammi), beloved dogs Bryney and Wynnie. Brothers Tom (Melinda) Wood and John (Susan) W00d, brother-in-law Mike (Vicki) Basham, nieces and nephews Amanda Sims, Casandra Moss, Courtney (Andrew) Dobbs, Chrissi Basham, Kandace (Josh) Kirk, Lucas (Megan) Wood, Jacob (Devon) and grandniece Amelia Wood, Jason and Brian Wood, great niece Makaila Moss, God daughter Emily Pandis, numerous loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27th from 4pm to 6:30pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a memorial service will follow at 6:30pm with a Chaplain officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery the following day at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
