Susan C. Gessel

Susan C. Gessel, age 66, of London, Ohio, passed into the arms of her Savior on Friday, April 5, 2024 after a brief illness.  She was born in New York, New York on December 20, 1957 and moved to Ohio at the age of one and a half years old.  Sue was a graduate of Columbus Northland High School, Class of 1975.  She attended The Ohio State University where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Chapter, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.  She graduated from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science, Nursing in 1979.  Sue married Larry E. Gessel at Riverside Bible Church in Columbus on March 21, 1987.  She worked as a Utilization Review Case Manager for The Ohio State University Hospital for many years preceding her death.  Sue was an amazing person who loved the Lord and gave everything for the well-being of her family.  Sue was well regarded and had many special friends.  She enjoyed swimming, gardening, and spending time with her family.  She will be missed greatly.

Sue was preceded in death by her mother Carol E. Good and her father Milton A. Good, uncle Norman C. Good and cousin Jan Good.  She is survived by her husband Larry E. Gessel, sons Nathan E. Gessel and Alexander I. (Anna Nasonovskaia) Gessel, brother Steven K. (Carolyn) Good, nephew David (Trisha) Good, great-niece Elizabeth, nephew Brian (Rachel) Good, twin great-nephews Desmond and Adrian, brother Douglas N. (Jeanne) Good, nephews Matthew Good, Ryan Good, niece Elizabeth Good, cousins Nancy (Todd) Mueller, Linda (Bryan) Moberly, Matthew (Lilin) Koch, Jonathan Koch, and Timothy (Juila Sheehy) Koch, and many other loving family members and friends.

Family will receive friends from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. FRIDAY, APRIL 19, 2024 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, OH 43026 (614)-876-1722.  

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00a.m. SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2024 at RIVERSIDE BIBLE CHURCH, 5300 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43235 with Pastor David Crawford, officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sue’s memory may be made to Riverside Bible Church or the American Cancer Society.
