Terry E. Preston

Terry E. Preston, age 67, of Plain City, passed away January 3, 2012. He was born in Wayne, NE but grew up in Tipp City, OH; where he graduated from Bethel High School. He was a surveyor in the silver mines of Ontario, Canada and a gold mine of British Columbia. He was a spelunker in Mammoth Cave where he discovered much uncharted territory. Member of the Eagle Scouts who loved the outdoors and even built a log cabin by hand. He was also an avid book collector. Preceded in death by parents Leland and Frances Preston and brother Dennis Preston.Survived by sons Jeffrey (Andrea) Preston of Vancouver, BC, Daniel Preston of Parry Sound, Ontario, Shawn Preston of London, Ontario and Terris Preston of Toronto, sister Elizabeth Schultz of Denver, CO, brothers Neil (Deb) Preston of Ashville, OH and Brian (Maureen) Preston of Hilliard, OH, 3 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 2-4 pm Saturday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where a service will follow at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, OH 43026.
