Thalia "Terri" Sippel

Thalia J. “Terri” Sippel, of Hilliard OH passed away on January 22, 2017. Born in Cleveland OH she grew up in Shaker Heights and graduated from Heights High School and Kent State University. Terri’s 40 year career in Fashion Merchandising began at F&R Lazurus followed by Greggs Department Stores and Joseph A Horne Company. She was active in each community in which she lived especially Lima OH serving on the Board of Directors for YWCA, Heart Association and Chamber of Commerce. She served on the faculty of the Lima Technical College teaching Fashion Merchandising. In Columbus, she was active with the OSU Community Advisory Board , Seroptimist Club, OWLS program and organizing the yearly Lazurus Retiree Luncheon. As a member of the DAR she chaired the committee for Scholarship Fundraising and supported the Art Community, Symphony, BalletMet and CATCO. In her downtime her interest in history, art and cooking took her to France, Italy, Israel, Hong Kong and China. Terri was much loved and respected and will be greatly missed. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2017 at ST. TIMOTHY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1088 Thomas Lane, Upper Arlington OH 43220 with The Reverend Timothy Hayes, Celebrant.
