Thelma Truman

Thelma Lenore Truman, age 95, of Columbus, born April 6, 1921 in Somerford, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord May 15, 2016. Member of London Church of Christ and attended Hilliard Church of Christ. Thelma was a homemaker and also a seamstress. She was passionate about her faith and enjoyed playing Christian music on numerous instruments. Preceded in death by loving husband of 73 years, Carl “Dusty” Truman 2015, parents Louis and Hattie (Edwards) Ackerman, siblings Frances Ackerman, Louise Winkler, Virginia Clingman, Sara Jane Heffner and Leroy Ackerman, son-in-law Steve Justice. Survived by children Carl (Gerry) Truman, Patty (Ray) Kuhns, Judi (Jack) Atwell, Beckie Justice, Steven (Linda) Truman and Deb (Ben) Collier, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Family will receive friends Friday 10:30 am – 12 pm at the Hilliard Church of Christ, 4300 Avery Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Danny Vanscoy officiating. Interment Somerford Township Cemetery, Somerford, OH.
