Thomas O Musselman, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on April 5 at his home. He was a life long resident of Orient and graduated from Darby Twp HS in 1950 as valedictorian of his class.
Tom was a generous kind man that loved spending time with his family. He farmed his whole life, but also worked at Columbus Auto Parts, and he was a Moorman's Feed Salesman. On November 16, 2017, Tom received his 50 year pin from the Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM. He was a member of Eastern Star, Odd Fellows, Men's Club and Harrisburg United Methodist Church. Tom was a fierce euchre player and enjoyed playing cards with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents Bennett & Esther Musselman, brothers Charles (Doris), James (Pauline), Jack, William, Richard, Jerry & David (Rip), sisters Elizabeth (John), Jeanette (Les), Josephine (Otho),
Betty (Edwin), & Ruth Jean (Larry).
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Florence (Daniels) ; son Tom (Jean) Musselman, & daughters Karen (Bill) Grizzell, & Tonya (Chuck) Ruoff; grandchildren Mark (Wendy), Phil, Jeannie (Brian), Bennett (Liza), Jeanette (Seth), Chelsea (Jeremy), & Chaz (Meghan); great-grandchildren Brianna, Brittany, Cody, Payton, Abigail, Kadee, Lane, Levi, Callie & Knox; brother Ned (Betty); & sister-in-laws Carol & Bertie.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 2 - 5 p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. A Masonic service will begin at 5:00 p.m. to honor Tom. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9th. Rev. Kevin Chambers officiating with the interment following in Pleasant Cemetery.
