Timothy Dale Grove of Cape Coral, Florida (previously of Dublin, Ohio), passed away on July 13th, 2024, after a long battle with illness. Tim was preceded in death by his first wife, Saundra, his mother, Ruth, and his brother, Michael. He is survived by his wife Terri, brother Malcolm, his beloved children Jamie and Erin, and his cherished grandchildren Cassie, Sam, and Lillian. Tim was born on September 1st, 1949, in Lancaster, Ohio, and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1967. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS America during the Vietnam War. For over two decades, he dedicated his life to public service as a police officer in Upper Arlington. Tim was well-known for his sharp wit and keen sense of humor. Some of his fondest memories included attending the Fairfield County Fair, building and racing cars with his brothers, and spending summers in Sugar Grove, Ohio, cooking with his grandmother. As an adult, Tim had a passion for cooking and traveling. He was especially renowned for his Christmas fudge. He was also an avid hunter. In his later years, Tim enjoyed retirement in Florida, surrounded by many friends, and cherished his time in Ohio with the men and women he served alongside on the police force. Tim's ashes will be interred at the National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, in a private ceremony.
