Tommy Bentley

Tommy Gayle Bentley, age 69, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017. Retired from Strawser Paving and was an Operating Engineer for 40 years. Army Veteran and member of American Legion Don Gentile Post 532. Tommy belonged to Hilliard Optimist Club, was a Mason for over 35 years and a member of New England Masonic Lodge #4; where he was a Past Master. Member of York Temple Chapter 155, The Valley of Columbus Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and numerous other masonic organizations. Preceded in death by parents Charlie and Dora Bentley, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and son Allen Gayle Bentley. Survived by loving wife of 19 years Terry, son Charlie (Erin) Bentley, daughter Cheryl (Andy) Harris, stepson Thomas Cline, grandchildren Connor, Molly and Maggie Bentley, step grandson Gavin Cline, sister Janice (Gary) Salyers, good friend Dave Reed, numerous nieces, nephews, a host of special friends and beloved killer dog. Family will receive friends 5-8 pm Monday at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday. Pastor Donnie Akers officiating.
