Veda Naomi Van Dyne, born October 4, 1924, passed away January 15, 2021. Loving mother of Jack Anderson Vaughan and Robert James Van Dyne Jr. Naomi was a member of Eastern Star of Burnt Prairie, Illinois, and worthy matron of her lodge. She was successful in many activities during her lifetime including telephone operator (1940), wartime manufacturing, dental assistant, real estate sales, retail sales (Lazarus). Naomi was a longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity in Evansville, Indiana. She was on the Habitat board for board for several years, and was named Member of the Year during a banquet in her honor. After moving to Hilliard, Ohio, she had a debilitating stroke in September 1999. She suffered the effects of the stroke for twenty-one years. During the pandemic of Covid-19, she was taken from us. She is survived by her husband, Robert James Van Dyne, and son Robert James Van Dyne. Naomi will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends, but welcomed into heaven by her father Leo Keiser, and her heavenly Father.
