Vera Gard, age 86, of Hilliard, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
Member Hilliard United Methodist Church, 50 year member of Hilliard O.E.S Chapter 109, Hilliard Happiness Entertainers of the Hilliard Senior Center. Former owner of the first Hilliard Dry Cleaners. Preceded in death by parents Howard A. Richardson and Ethel Richardson Carlson, husband of 58 years Robert A Gard, second husband of 3 years James E. Flaugher, children Carolyn Sue and Robert Stanley, grandson Stephen Renner, brothers Wendall and James Richardson, beloved aunt Belle “Auntie” Britton, and nephew William Bowman. Survived by loving daughters Patricia (John) McIntyre of Powell, OH, Sandrea (Cal) Clason of Wooster, OH, sister Norma Garrison of Hilliard, brother Donald (Martha) Richardson, sister-in –laws Virgina Schreck and Betty Beachler, grandchildren Ronald (Valerie) Giuffre, Deborah (Duane) Pool , Susan (Dustin) Sponsler, Andrea (Gary) Cline, Jennifer (Josh) Heller, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, step children and their families, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Friends may call Monday 10-11 am at the Hilliard United Methodist Church, 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, where a celebration of life service will be held 11 am Monday with Rev. David Ziegel officiating. Inurnment Wesley Chapel Cemetery, In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home Reach Hospice or Hilliard Happiness Entertainers.
