Vicki Logan

Vicki G. Logan, age 70 of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 3^rd, 2021.  Born on April 12, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Vicki grew up in Niles, Ohio, graduating in 1969 from John F. Kennedy High School in Warren.  After receiving her teaching degree from Kent State University in 1973, she moved to Columbus to take a teaching position with the Franklin County Board of Developmental and Disabilities. Vicki went on to be a preschool teacher, a special needs teacher aide, and substitute teacher. While in Columbus she was introduced through mutual friends to her future husband, David Logan.

Following her teaching career she stayed home to raise her two children Kimberly and Timothy. She was a loving mother, grandmother, caring wife, and loyal friend to so many. Vicki was an active member of Grace Powell Church, and volunteered her time with numerous organizations. She especially enjoyed the fellowship and discussions of the gospel in her Bible study groups. Her deep faith and love in Christ guided her life.  Vicki spent her life serving others.

Vicki is preceded in death by her parents Isabelle and Newell Crates. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Logan; brother Dr. Ronald Crates, Goodyear, AZ; sister in-law Christine Peaslee, Mansfield, Oh, daughter Kimberly (Corey) Ostrander, Chicago, IL; son Timothy (Laura) Logan, Dublin, OH; grandchildren Kora Ostrander, Sadie Ostrander, Olivia Logan, and Sophia Logan; nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.

Vicki will be remembered for her faith, good humor, and love for others.

Services will be held at Grace Powell Church, 7600 Liberty Rd, Powell Ohio on Monday October 11.  Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kobacker House.
