Prince Virgil "Max" Prince, age 87, of Hilliard, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on July 15, 1928, in St. Paris, Ohio, to the late Dwight and Mabel Prince. Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Dorothy Ann (Uhl) Prince. Max and Dorothy graduated from Hilliard High School Class of 1946. Max earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Initially working for the Franklin County Farm Bureau in Hilliard, he later joined the U.S. Postal Service in 1959 and retired after 30 years of service. Max was a very thoughtful and gentle man. He is survived by children, Mark (Karen) Prince, Melanie (Russ) Barbee, and Kevin Prince; grandchildren, Melissa (Phil) Brown, Amy (Jason) Coy, Kara Barbee, Mandy Barbee and Matt Barbee; great grandchildren, Natalie Brown and Nick Brown. Friends may call Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St. in Hilliard, OH. A private family inurnment will take place at Wesley Chapel Cemetery at a later date.
