Vivian Rhodes

Vivian M. Rhodes, age 91, passed away unexpectedly August 22, 2007 at Riverside Hospital. Born and raised in Paw Paw, MI. Moved to Columbus in 1953 and raised her family in the Hilliard area. Preceded in death by her husband Jay. She is survived by daughter Sheila, sons Gary (Lova), Patrick (Judy) and Jay (Stefany), 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother Jesse (Donna) and half brothers and sister Bill and Gene Rhodes and Mary Ann (Jim) Evans and her friends at the Dublin Retirement Village. Vivian was an avid sports fan, card player, gardener, and cook extraordinaire. She devoted her life to raising and nurturing her family. A graveside service will take place in Kalamazoo, MI on August 26, 2007. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Vivian’s final request was for everyone to perform an act of kindness to someone near. Arrangements completed by the TIDD FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, Hilliard, OH.
