Walter Scott

Walter Scott, age 85, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Hilliard, passed away August 5, 2010. WWII Army Veteran, long standing member of the Hilliard United Methodist Church, recent member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Clearwater, member of Masonic Lodge, Royal Arch Masons, Shriner’s, Grotto, Emmaus Walk at Marysville, Eastern Star, Mansfield Council, The Orbiting Squares square dance group, avid gardener, grocery store Manager for A& P Tea Company, Stumps Markets and the Gahanna Super Duper. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Golda Scott, daughter Lana Charlene Smith, great granddaughter, Nicole Renee Scott, sister Thelma Morgenstern and brother Elmer Scott. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Jeanette Arlene Scott, sons Walter D. (Judy) Scott and William A. (Shirley) Scott, sisters Juanita and Eloise Hall, brother John Scott, 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and loving relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Monday 5-7 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026; where funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday. Interment Sunset Cemetery.
