Wayne Lichwa

Wayne Thomas Lichwa, age 64, of Hilliard, passed away December 20,2022. He was born on February 1, 1958, in Wheeling, WV. 

He was a 1976 graduate of Wheeling Central high school. He was a skilled refrigeration/HVAC technician.  He was a member of St Brendan’s Church and a longtime member of St Brendan council of the Knight of Columbus Council 11208 and 4^th degree knight for the Columbus Council Assembly number 2727. He enjoyed coaching his children and others in many sports.   He was advocate for Organ Donation having received a transplant from his Hero Suzanne and became an Ambassador for Lifeline of Ohio.  He was a certified peer visitor for the Amputee Coalition.

Preceded in death by his parents Vivian (Gilmore)Lichwa and Thomas Lichwa Jr, a brother Gary Lichwa and his father- in- law Paul J Tepe.

Survived by: His wife of 36 years, Michele (Tepe) Lichwa; children, Allison and Philip Lichwa of Hilliard. Mother- in- law Inge Tepe of Wheeling WV, Brother Mark (Kathy) Lichwa of Triadelphia, WV, Sister- in- Law Margaret Lichwa of Reynoldsburg Ohio, sisters Carole Lichwa Wheeling WV, Diane (Tom) Rhodes of Bridgeport Ohio, several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am Thursday, December 29, 2022 at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Lifeline of Ohio.
