In Loving Memory of Wilfredo de Guia Santiago

November 5, 1961 – April 11, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of Wilfredo de Guia Santiago on April 11, 2025, at the age of 63. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Wilfredo will be forever remembered for his generous heart, cheerful spirit, and unwavering dependability.

Wilfredo was a hardworking and practical man, someone who believed in earning his way through life with integrity and purpose. He approached every task—whether at work, at home, or in service to others—with quiet determination and a sense of pride. Though modest and thrifty by nature, he was always the first to give—his time, his talents, and whatever he had—to those in need. His willingness to help extended to everyone around him, from family and friends to complete strangers.

His patience and kindness were a quiet strength. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures: preparing delicious home-cooked meals, repairing things around the house, or singing his favorite karaoke songs with a smile. A true DIY enthusiast, he took pride in fixing and building things with his own two hands, always eager to improve the world around him in practical and meaningful ways.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Perla Santiago; his children, Jonathan Santiago and Wilhelmina Santiago Soriano; his son-in-law, Teofilo Soriano, Jr.; and his cherished granddaughter, Sophia Anne Soriano, who brought him endless joy.

Wilfredo was preceded in death by his parents, Erlindo and Miguela Santiago, and his brother, Nilo Santiago. His presence was a blessing, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service and visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Tidd Funeral Home, 5265 Norwich Street, Hilliard, Ohio 43026.

Family and friends are warmly invited to come together to honor and celebrate Wilfredo’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes financial contributions during the visitation to help with funeral expenses and to continue honoring Wilfredo’s memory.
