William "Bill" Nichols

William Henry Nichols, 73, of Plain City, went home to be with the Lord February 17, 2011. Married January 9, 1970, he is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee (Venrick) Nichols. He is also survived by his daughter, Amy Denise (Nichols) Vowell, son-in-law Vance Marshall Vowell, granddaughter, Vanora Lynn Vowell, sisters, Mary Carter of Inez, KY, and Irene Strabel of Irvine, CA; brothers, Dan Nichols of Woodside, CA, and Grant Nichols of Lexington, KY. He is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Gladys (Williamson) Nichols; sisters, Polly Runyons and Martha Porter; and brothers, Homer Nichols, Ronnie Nichols, Jack Nichols, John Nichols, and Jim Nichols. He proudly served four years in the United States Navy. He also worked 15 years for Gene Thomas Seed and Soil Service and 23 years for Darby Township Madison County. A graveside service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, February 22 at Forest Grove Cemetery in Plain City.
