William F. Cozzens (Bill), age 81, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at First Community Village.
Born, 9/4/1934, in Philadelphia, PA to the late Beryl and William Cozzens.
Preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Phyllis.
Survived by sister, Nancy Kimberly and her husband, Howard; children, Carla Grieshop (David) grandchildren, Aaron and Stephen; Carrie Kanani (Navid) grandchildren, Nura and Zia; Chris Cozzens (Charlene) grandchildren Maria, Paul and Anna; Connie (Stephen) Dow and Cathy Cozzens.
Also survived by niece, Susan Koza and nephew, Steve (Susan) Kimberly
A 1952 graduate of Westerville High School, where he excelled as a baseball pitcher. He attended The Ohio State University, and was a lifelong OSU Buckeye fan. He served 4 years in the United States Navy as a Quartermaster in the submarine force on the USS Bluegill, stationed in Pearl Harbor.

Founding member of The Piedmont Golf Club and founding board member of The Piedmont Homeowners Association in Haymarket, VA
Loved the sport of golf, and was often found on or near the 19th hole of Piedmont with his wife, Phyllis.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 2:30 pm at The Schuler-Chancel Chapel at the Burkhart Center at First Community Village with Pastor Gerald Murphy presiding.
