William R. Finch

William R. Finch, age 86, a longtime resident of Five Points, OH before moving to Circleville, OH six years ago, was born in 1932 and went to Heavenly home on Thursday, November 22, 2018.  Being under the care of Heartland Hospice and Brown Memorial in Circleville, he went very peacefully.  Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeannette Finch, parents Clarence and Margaret, brothers Tom and Bob Finch and special friend Jewell Ellison.  He is survived by his children: Melinda Armentrout, Mary Jane Saunders, Roger Finch and Brad Finch, sister Arlene See, sister-in-law Carolyn Finch, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, special friend Eric Ellison who has been a part of our family for many years, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In his younger years, Bill enjoyed music, square dancing, camping and always enjoyed get-togethers with family and friends.  After retiring from John Deere, where he worked for 37 years, he helped a very good friend, Gary Moore, farm.  He was an active member of Heber Lodge #501, F & A.M., Williamsport and was an honorably discharges veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany during the Korean War.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8p.m. MONDAY at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where his Funeral Service will be held 11:00a.m. TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2018 with burial following at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt.
