William Gordon Garland

William Gordon “Gordie” Garland , 75 of Hilliard, OH passed away January 8, 2011. He was born to the late Archie and Gladys Garland, August 4, 1935. He was married to Trudy Garland in 1984. He graduated from Indiana State College with a BS in Education, was a life member of the Elks., Wilkins, PA, No. 577, and worked for Van Stratton Oil. He loved to cook, golf, fish and entertain. He is survived by siblings Arch, Tony, Helen (deceased), Betty(deceased) and Alfreda. He is also survived by children Gordie Jr Garland, Katherine Young, Wolfgang (deceased), Mike, Steven, and Gregory Thiergart, numerous nieces and nephews, 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to a Remembrance Service at Life Community Church, 4400 Cemetery Rd, Hilliard, OH, on Thursday, January 13th, 6-8pm.
