William A. Gray, age 76, of Dublin, died at Riverside Hospital in Columbus on Monday, January 21, 2008 after a valiant fight with Parkinson’s disease and brain surgery. He was born in Cleveland, OH in 1931. He graduated from Case School of Engineering in the Department of Electrical Engineering and was employed at Robbins and Myers in Springfield, OH, Avtron Manufacturing, and Montgomery Watson Harsha in the Cleveland area. Following retirement he and his wife moved to Dublin, OH to be near their son’s family. He was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Elizabeth Gray and sister Janet Ellen. He is survived by wife of 44 years, Ruth, daughter Ellen of Frisco, TX, son Rob and wife Angie of Dublin, OH, grandchildren Brandon Michael 11 years and Morgan Elizabeth 8 years and sister-in-law Sylvia Riffe of Lindside, WV. He was a member of Riverview Church in Novelty, Ohio and held close to his heart the many faithful Christian friends there. He was a kind, loving, generous person who touched the lives of those he met with his smile and warm gentle spirit. He treated others with respect regardless of their circumstances. A memorial service will be held 11 am Thursday at Riverview Church, 13968 Chillicothe Rd., Novelty, OH 44072 with Pastors David Fry of the church and Kevin Harris of Northwest Chapel in Dublin, OH officiating. A private family graveside service will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be to Riverview Church or the Case Western Reserve School of Electrical Engineering, 10900 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
