William Jenkins

William Eugene Jenkins, age 94, resident of Hilliard, OH for 47 years, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. William was born December 5, 1918 in Leon, WV to the late John and Mary Jenkins. William is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margie Marie “Russell” Jenkins, brother Earl Jenkins of Smither, WV, sister Opal “Jenkins” Potesta of Charleston, WV, sons William Eugene, II, Gerald Lee, Ronnie Allen and Jeffrey Everett, daughters Donna Irene and Patricia Ann all of Central Ohio, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. William worked for the New York Central Railroad (Conrail) for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hilliard since 1965 and served in the US Army during WWII from 1941-1945. Family will receive friends Sunday 1-3 pm at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday at Russell Jenkins Cemetery in Cranberry Ridge, WV with the husband of granddaughter Lisa Jones, Jason Jones officiating.
