William Lanier

William “Bud” Lanier, age 50, of Hilliard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Kobacker House, surrounded by his family and friends. Bud was a loyal husband, father, mentor and friend. He was a committee member of Boy Scout Troop #814, and was an outdoor enthusiast. He was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School, Ohio Dominican College and Columbus State Community College’s Culinary Program, where he learned to be a wonderful chef. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Lanier and Jane (Belleau) Lanier. Bud is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Sheryl (Persinger) Lanier; sons, Travis William Lanier and Justin Ronald Lanier; sisters, Lorelei (Bill) Lotozo and Jane (Bill) Mead; plus numerous loving relatives and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30 pm at First Community Church 1320 Cambridge Blvd. Columbus, OH 43212.
