William Masters

William L. Masters, age 77, of Galloway, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009. U. S. Navy Veteran serving in Korea. Graduated from South High School. Retired from General Electric Co. Past Master of South Gate Masonic Lodge. Past Worthy Patron of Southern Way Chapter OES, member Columbus Commandry and York Rite Chapter. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. Sang with the Navy Choir, several churches, Loganairs barber shop choir. Preceded in death by wife Louise of 51 years. Survived by children Bill, Leslie (Steve) Scott, Colette ( Rickey ) Hatfield, and Denise (Rick ) Steinwender, grandchildren, Bryan, Tom ( Kelly ), Kevin, Aubrey ( Jenny), Stephanie, Jennifer, Dana, Kyle, Joshua, and Trevor, great grandsons Izick and Hayden, brother Tom ( Alma ) Masters, sister Beverly ( Robert ) Smith of Dayton, sister in law Genevieve ( John ) Greenwood of MI, uncle, nieces, nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:30pm at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St, Hilliard, OH 43026 where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec 23 at 10am with Pastor Dale George officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Alzheimer’s Association, 3380 Tremont Rd, Columbus, OH 43221. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
