William Thomas Mathews

William Thomas Mathews, 79, of Hilliard, passed away February 24, 2014. U.S. Army veteran and retired from The Kroger Company Bakery. Preceded in death by parents Ern and Elsie Mathews, son William E. Mathews, brother Richard and sister Betty. Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Pauline; son, Michael (Trina) Mathews; daughter-in-law, Dawn Mathews (Richard) Butler; sister, Jackie (Dick) Dewey; grandchildren, Mitch (Emily) Mathews, Tyler Mathews, Jessica (Jairel) Bizel; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Camden Bizel; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special great niece, Leota Clausen and friend, Ralph. Special thanks to Doctors Milton Setnar, Phillip Kuebler and staff at Riverside ICU. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH. Funeral service Friday 10 a.m. Burial Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
