William Robson

William Edward “Bill” Robson of Dublin, Ohio passed away February 9, 2014 at the age of 84, following a long illness. Bill, a 1948 graduate of Central High School in Columbus, served in the US Army in the 82nd Airbourne and was a Veteran of the Korean conflict. Following his military service, he worked many years for Standard Oil of Ohio, before owning and operating several service stations in the Dublin and Hilliard areas, the last being the former Union 76 station on Cemetery Road in Hilliard before his retirement in 1992.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, the late Ralph Edward and Hattie Valeria (English) Robson, his sister Louise, his long-time beloved friend Rozella Hafner. He is survived by his four children: Isabella Robson Mark of Medina, NY; William G. Robson (Tracy) of Dublin, Ohio; Michael K. Robson of Cape Coral, FL; and Christina Robson Degelow (James) of Hilliard, Ohio; his three step-daughters: Jane Faught, Pamela Barr and Deborah Hafner, all of Millersport, Ohio; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchidren.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 15th from 1-3 pm at the TIDD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME WITH CREMATORY, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213.
